Dear Mr. Caballero: I have suffered intermittently from hemorrhoids since pregnancy and the birth of my daughter some 36 years ago. I used the usual remedies--Preparation H and Anusol, drank lots of water, and ate a high fiber diet. The use of coldness as a healing agent for hemorrhoids made sense and appealed to me because it was natural and simple.
